Joining Our Team
Have you recently Graduated?
No doubt you have enjoyed the experiences, achieved good
qualifications and are now ready for the next stage in your lives. These are challenging times but I have employment opportunities which may start you on your career journey.
I have, for the last 4 years, been employing young graduates
for a range of roles across the school, fully accepting that they may only stay
for a year before moving on into other forms of employment or perhaps go on to
train as a teacher. Some of these graduates have been ex-Winston students and they
have made a fantastic contribution to our school.
Working in a school helps you to develop a number of
transferable skills:
· Leadership
· Communication skills
· Resilience
· Skills required to negotiate and persuade
· Organisational skills
· The ability to work with a wide range of people.
Many of you will have successfully found your first job as a
graduate but if you are still looking for the perfect opportunity and are
seeking paid employment for the next year, then perhaps you would like to
consider one of the following roles we offer at Winston:
Opportunities:
· Become our Maths Tutor, 36 hours per week,
tutoring small groups of students within a great innovative Maths Team. Our current tutor is going on to train as a
teacher.
· Become our English Tutor, 36 hours per week,
tutoring small groups of students within a great innovative English Team. Both English Tutors have gone onto train as
teachers.
· Become our Planetarium Presenter and Science
Tutor, 36 hours per week, tutoring small groups of students within a great
innovative Science Team. Flexible hours.
· I am currently seeking graduates for the
position of LSA, the hours to be negotiated plus 5 hours lunchtime supervision
each week. One year contract only.
· I also require Cover Supervisors to manage
groups of students when staff are absent.
This again would suit a graduate.
Previous cover supervisors are now training to be teachers at Winston.
One year contract only.
If you any of these roles appeal
to you then email James French, Deputy Head at j.french@wcsc.org to discuss the
possibilities.
Please encourage anyone interested in any of these roles to
contact the school to find out more information.
Thank you for taking the time to consider these roles. I wish you every success for the future.
Yours sincerely
Zoe Johnson-Walker
