Chess and Board Games Club
This is a club for Year 7 and 8 students run by some of the older students at Winston Churchill. It is a great way for students to socialise and play some classic board games with friends.
Astronomy Club
The younger students at Winston Churchill are absolutely loving astronomy club. They use the planetarium to explore the solar system and constellations as well as take part in a range of other activities outside of the planetarium.
Chickens at Winston!
We were delighted to welcome a chef from Catering Academy, complete with a set of fresh chickens! Our Year 11 students were taught how to joint the chicken correctly and then had the opportunity to cook a range of dishes using each part of the chicken.
We are very grateful to Catering Academy for providing the chickens and taking the time to work with our students.
Good News!
Our Year 7 Football team have won both matches against local schools. More details to follow in the coming week and I will include a squad photograph.
Well done Year 7!
