Public Health England Advice for Schools

Coronavirus: latest information and advice

As with all health issues, our aim is to provide relevant up-to-date information for our parents.  I am ensuring that as a school we are aware of developments and tasking the advice of Public Health England.  I hope that you find the following useful.

Novel coronavirus (2019-nCov) is a new strain of coronavirus first identified in Wuhan City, China. The Department of Health and Social Care and Public Health England are carefully monitoring the coronavirus situation and have published information and advice for the public. As the situation is developing, please check the online advice for the latest and most up-to-date information https://www.gov.uk/guidance/wuhan-novel-coronavirus-information-for-the-public

Please share the above government advice to staff and parents/carers, as appropriate.

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) advise against all travel to Hubei Province due to the ongoing novel coronavirus outbreak. The FCO advise against all but essential travel to the rest of mainland China (not including Hong Kong and Macao) https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/china
