Winston in Silent Reflection

At just before 11.00am this morning, our Winston community came together, on the patio, to show our respect for the life and service of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Students stood in silence for a two minute silence, followed by a brass quartet playing the National Anthem. Students are to be commended for their conduct throughout the ceremony.

Miss Elfaituri has shared this wonderful eulogy for the late queen Elizabeth II written by one of her tutees- Leen Abuasaker 7AEL. It was a response to a form time activity celebrating the late Queen Elizabeth II's life and service to the country. They were encouraged to be creative and express how much the Queen meant to them and the nation and why she was and always will be a historical icon to be remembered.
