Great Work at Winston

Engineering at Winston

"The DT Department is thrilled to report the exciting progress of our new Engineering students. Mr. Kok, along with two outstanding Year 11 students, Finlay Gamlin and Mark Addo, recently conducted a session for the Year 10, introducing them to the intricacies of the Lathe.
During this session, the Year 10 students were captivated as they observed the inner workings of these machines, watching raw materials transform into intricate shapes and designs.
What made this experience truly remarkable was the dedication of Finlay and Mark. They not only showcased their technical skills but also ensured the safety of their younger peers, fostering a sense of community within the department.
This collaboration is an excellent example of the spirit of teamwork and mentorship within our DT Department. We eagerly anticipate the growth of these Year 10 students under the guidance of their older peers and dedicated teachers. The future of engineering at our school looks promising, and we can't wait to witness the remarkable projects that will emerge from this dynamic learning environment."
