Let's Write! 
Plan and write a story which has to begin with the following, opening words:
'As I opened my eyes...'
Your stories should be original, unpublished and exactly 200 words long—not a single word shorter or longer!
There will be six prizes:
- One for each student in Years 7, 8 and 9, as of 6th September, at Winston, who produces the best, most original story.
- One for each student in Years 10 or 11, as of 6th September, at Winston who produces the best, most original story.
- One prize for the best overall story.
Let your Winston friends know and get them to join in! I am especially looking forward to receiving entries from our new Year 7 students.
Entries must be given in, as a hard copy, at the main office:- Name and Tutor Group, clearly written at the top of each page
- Only one entry per student
- Placed in an envelope, marked for the attention of Mrs Z. Johnson-Walker, Headteacher
- Deadline: Friday 9th September by 3.30pm.
