Colour Run
Throughout the last term and half of Year 7 at Winston, a small group of selected girls trained with Mrs Smith, in the fitness room & out and about around the school, with the mission to prove to themselves that “girls can”.Thoughout this training the girls set themselves small targets and built on these each week, with the support of each other. Their training was put into action on Sunday 31st August. Eleven girls, accompanied Mrs Smith and her daughter, all worked together and completed the “Dash of Colour” 5k at Frimley Lodge Park! Needless to say they all had a blast!!!
The girls achieved something they didn’t think was possible and it just goes to show if you work hard and put your mind to someone and have support around you then you can achieve! Some of the girls and their parents have already shown an interest to completed this again next summer! Well Done girls...YOU CAN DO IT, and YOU DID DO IT!!
