Primary STEM Workshops
And
Our Primary Orchestra
Over the last 6 weeks, over 50 students from Goldsworth, Pirbright, Horsell, Worplesdon, Knaphill, St John's and Hermitage primary schools have been visiting Winston to engage in STEM workshops with our Maths and Science departments. In Science they have watched and carried out experiments, and had the opportunity to visit our planetarium, whilst in Maths they have been using a wide range of skills to complete problem-solving activities. All of the students involved have engaged fully with all of the activities and have been an absolute credit to their respective schools. A huge thank you to Mr Spain (Science), Mr Eaton (Maths) and Mr Harding (Maths) for delivering such a brilliant set of sessions.
We look forward to welcoming more students from local primary schools to the various activities and events we have planned for the Summer Term.
If you are in Years 4-6 and play an instrument why not join us every Wednesday from April-July and be a part of our Primary Orchestra.
We also have planned...
an English Day,
a Primary Choirs Event,
and our annual Primary Music Day taking place.
