Engaging Learning

 Lungs in Action

Mrs London dissected a 'pluck' - lungs with a heart attached, to show 9CT the anatomy of these structures.
The year 9 class, who are studying breathing and gas exchange, were able to see the bronchi, bronchioles and alveoli.
To the delight of the students, Mrs London inflated the lungs by blowing them up with a tube.
Cover supervisor Mrs Alexander was passing  the classroom and couldn't resist popping in to join in!

Winston Book Week!

A reminder that Winston Book Week, a week to celebrate all things reading, is coming up next week. This includes World Book Day on Thursday 6th March and a range of different reading-themed activities for students to get involved in - all with the theme of 'Connections through Reading'.

Students will be involved throughout the week and are encouraged to participate!
Staff will also be involved as they will be part of the competition taking place.
