Celebrating Success!
Year 10 and 11 girls played in and won the Woking District Final. Our players have fought with skill and determination over the last season to reach the final. They played against Heathside, scoring the winner in the last two minutes of the match only to have it disallowed. Our very own VAR, Mr Martin, was filming and was able to prove that the ball went over the line. However, it was decided that the outcome would be decided on penalties.
As our coach, Mr Phillips, said these can be life determining moments, being confident to kick the ball from the spot and live with the consequences. Accepting both failure and success with dignity because you tried.
Our players stepped up to be counted and won the penalty shootout.
Well done girls, Winston is very proud of you.
