Umbrella Club
'Umbrella Club is back and very busy! Focused on celebrating and promoting the student voice, students from KS3 have been collaborating on activities to celebrate a variety of school and worldwide events.
Recent activities include a celebration of Earth Day and a 'Time to Talk' morning. Umbrella Club upcycled cardboard boxes to create umbrellas to display in different classrooms, followed by a 'time to talk' morning to celebrate national tea day. This gave students the opportunity to talk with their peers and reflect on how a cup of tea or hot drink can bring people together.'
Miss Robinson
Eco Club
This month the Eco Club at Winston have had fun planting seeds with our gardening tutor Miss Bates. These will later be planted out to make the school environment more welcoming and improve areas that will attract insects.
It is good to see our students getting involved and improving the environment for our community.
