Incredibles discipulos celebramus!

A huge congratulations to our Key Stage 3 and 4 Latinists who performed excellently at the Guildford Latin Reading Competition this week. Between the 6 groups they achieved 2 first place positions, a second place and a commendation, outperforming the other schools quite considerably.

A special congratulations to the Year 6 students from St John's Primary who joined us for Primary Latin Reading Competition organised by Winston last month, who also won first place in their group.

We are so proud of the engagement and enthusiasm of these students. Their successes are a testament to their commitment and their attention to detail in preparing and their hard work paid off.

Coming up later this term, the Latin department is looking forward to a trip to see 'Medea'; a talk on Catullus by an Oxford professor, a Myth & Voice workshop with Year 8 students and of course our Rome residential departing on the last day of term.

Latinam amamus ad WCSC!
