Great Evening, Just Missing the Win!

Over the past year, many students have committed their time to attending extra-curricular football club. As a reward and recognition for this, 41 tickets were on offer to watch England v Iceland in their last friendly before departing for Euro 2024. All the tickets went very quickly!

At Wembley, the group behaved impeccably and enjoyed the experience of visiting one of the best stadiums in the world. The performance and result from England wasn't what we had in mind for a rewards trip but it was great to see England's best performing in the flesh. Even though the football wasn't too exciting, there were popcorn hats and paper aeroplanes to keep the students amused.

With 5 teams making the District Finals and both the U15 Boys & Girls making the County Cup semi-finals there has been a vast improvement compared to last years results. We hope as a result of so many players committing to training and learning as a group we can go on to win many more trophies next year!

Samsung Visit

Some of our students were invited to participate in a visit to Samsung House, Chertsey.

The students were tasked with answering one of three briefs by devising their own tech-solution. This was with assistance of the Samsung staff and a tour of their integrated tech eco-system Smart Home to help further inspire the possibilities.

All teams performed very well in brainstorming, developing and planning their tech-solution before ultimately delivering their concept to a panel of judges who were very impressed with the varying skills shown by the students.

The visit also gave students the opportunity to experience the workplace and consider careers in this industry for the future.
