St John’s Fete 2026
On Saturday 27th June, our student bands once again took to the stage at the annual St John's Fete, entertaining the crowds with an afternoon of fantastic live music.
This year's performances featured our two Battle of the Bands winners. First up was MotivE (featuring students from Y9-Y11), who won the Audience Vote and returned to the fête stage after performing there previously. They delivered a high-energy set of rock and metal favourites that had the crowd singing along from the very first song.
Joining them were Moving Horizons, (featuring students from Y8) this year's Judges' Vote winners, who impressed the audience with a confident and polished performance that showcased the talent and dedication of our young musicians.
The atmosphere was brilliant, with spectators gathering around the stage to sing, dance and cheer on the performers. In a surprise twist, Mrs Antony even joined MotivE on stage to provide vocals after their usual singer was unavailable!
Despite the soaring temperatures, there was an excellent turnout, and both bands performed brilliantly, thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to play live while providing a fantastic afternoon of entertainment. Huge congratulations to all of the students involved for representing the Music Department so well.
