St John's Village Fete
"On Saturday 20th June the schools musical talent, supported
by the students of our dedicated technical support team, was on
display at the St Johns Village Fete. A number of our GCSE music students led
by Mr Drake produced some great performances in support of the fete which
raises funds for the 1st St Johns Scout Group. Well done to all!"

Break with the Magna Carta Dancers
I had the privilege this morning of talking to some of the students involved in the Freedom Games, a production to celebrate the 800th Anniversary of the sealing of the Magna Carta at Runnymede. Students performed at the Albert Hall and Runnymede. Winston was one of the few schools participating in the event and the students were able to talk enthusiastically about their experiences.
Year 10 Media GCSE
I was delighted to attend Year 10 Media Studies lesson on Tuesday to talk with students about the excellent work they are doing. The group is exceeding all expectations and students are demonstrating high levels of independence and drive. Their commitment to the subject and their own performance is commendable.
Year 8 Play Rehearsal
I dropped in on a Year 8 English lesson to find the students engrossed in a ballad that they had tuned into a play. Each group had collaborated on the script and devised the performance. The results will be presented to the rest of the group and the Year Leader on Friday morning.
