Sharing Music Making
We have been delighted to welcome pupils from our local primary school to Winston to work with our students, making music together. Throughout the day the young people worked to create pieces to be performed at a concert held at the end of the school day.The pieces selected were challenging but gave our guests the opportunity to play together, instead of performing solo, experiencing the joy of sharing music making.
Parents arrived at 3.45pm for the concert, which was terrific. The whole group, primary pupils, Winston students and staff sang and played together, delighting the audience with the quality of the outcomes.

AS Level Philosophy of Religion and Ethics
Winston's new Philosophy Class experienced their first lesson of the AS Level course: Philosophy of Religion and
Ethics. The students created a new universe, evaluating the big bang theory, whilst
comparing it with the teleological (from Greek telos, meaning end or purpose,is the philosophical study of nature) argument for the existence of God. The students are looking
forward to researching and investigating the Philosophy of Religion and Ethics over the next two years, developing our thinking skills and preparing for the challenge of university interviews and debates.
