Flood Up-date

Flood Up-date

Mr Hill is working throughout the weekend to ensure that all the damaged carpets are removed and that the floors are safe for Monday morning.  Sadly part of the hard wood hall floor was so wet that it has lifted.  Mr Hill has removed the damaged wood and made it safe with matting but there is now significant work to complete in that area.  All the carpets have had to be removed from our new music suite and all the practice rooms and concerns remain about all of the new benching and furniture.  As you can imagine a substantial amount of furniture has had to be moved.  Some of the new flooring will be fitted next weekend but students will have to be understanding that their school does look quite as smart as it usually does.

Lunch at Winston

Whether you are looking forward to a delicious roast dinner or a freshly made salad, there is plenty of choice at Winston.  Meals are of an exceptional standard and are proving to be great value for money.  The 'Meal Deal' costs £2.50 and is excellent value for money; the details are below.

Horse Riding Club

The first session of this long standing extra-curricular opportunity took place this week.  Miss Perkins has organised the activity and takes the students each week.  We look forward to hearing about their progress.

Students, have you signed up for an extra-curricular activity?

 FROG

The school is fully aware that there have been a number of issues with the launch of Frog this term.  The team have had to contend with a number of challenges, that could not have been foreseen.  I realise that this is frustrating but everyone is working hard and the new product will become essential to learning at Winston.
