The Clear Up!
After working all weekend, Mr Hill had ensured that all areas of the school could be used on Monday. There is considerable concern about the hall floor, as the water is trapped beneath the wood blocks and we are waiting for the insurers to give permission to sand off all the varnish to try to dry out and therefore, save the whole surface. This will be a huge challenge in a working school of 1500 students, especially during the lunch break.Sadly the new furniture in the Apple Mac music suite has been condemned and new furniture will have to be custom made and fitted all over again, together with new flooring, which has only just been laid. Carpets have had to be removed to reduce the smell and this has meant that furniture has had to be relocated. Meeting room 1 is not yet fit for use and many of the floors are sticky to walk on, although this will wear off with use. The aim is to get some of the carpets fitted over the coming weekend but this will not be possible in all areas.
