Yr10 GCSE PE Sport Science Trip

GoPerform in Reading, a state of the art sports rehabilitation and human performance centre, was the location of a recent Yr10 GCSE PE trip.

Fifteen students were fortunate to attend the 2-hour session which involved both practical and theoretical input. The purpose of the trip was to give students the opportunity to understand the different career paths within Sport Science and also to make the link between the content they are learning in lessons with the practical application in the real world. The group experienced activities such as; movement analysis, neuromuscular electrical stimulation, anti-gravity running, as well as force plate and acceleration tests which proved to be competitive within the group!

The students were fantastic and got a taste of what it would be like to work in a high performance environment.
