Success at Winston

Toe by Toe

The students  in the photograph below, were presented with their Toe by Toe certificates by Mr Burrows this morning.  They all looked very smart and seemed to enjoy the whole experience!  Mr Burrows engaged the students in conversations about reading in general and the actual books they are reading..

We are very proud of the whole group – they have worked really hard to achieve outstanding results and the difference in not only their reading but their self-confidence too, has been a pleasure to see.

Rotation

I spent sometime in a Year 7 Maths class today where they were exploring the concept of rotation. I promised them a mention on the blog, as they were working extremely hard.

Last Year 11 Assembly

Year 11 attended their final Monday morning assembly today.  Mr Byrne set out the expectations for the week and then reminded students how to prepare for the examination season ahead.  He talked through the positive ways in which students can ensure their own wellbeing and successful outcomes.  Work life balance was the key message, have a plan for revision but build in some sport and social activities.

Have a great week Year 11.
