Celebrating Learning

 Year 7 Learning New Skills

Year 7 started their rugby unit with Mrs Smith & Miss De Bunsen, they have taken to the concept of contact rugby really well.  Cheek to cheek and ring of steel was heard on repeat along with parachute fall (Knee, hip, shoulder). We can't wait to see the girls grow in confidence as we continue to learn and develop our skills.

Year 7 Winston Extra lessons has the students considering what peer pressure is- what is looks like, why people peer pressure others, and why others give in to peer pressure.

7WW discussed how peer pressure can be for good as well encouraging you to join a new club and 'take a risk'. They then created freeze frames to help identify what peer pressure what would look and consider how to respond.

Recognising Commitment to Learning

A hundred Year 9 students received a token from their tutor for a hot chocolate at break time today, Wednesday.
This was in recognition of the work and commitment they have demonstrated this term, as well as  improvement to school. It is not very often the students are served by Mrs Harding, Miss Dunlop and Mrs Smith!
Well done Year 9

Quality of Year 9 Work

Mrs Smith has been looking through some books from Year 9 students.  It is great to see that the level of work that students are producing is fantastic.
"Keep applying yourselves, keep being the best you can best and focus on your line, year 9 is your time to shine"  is the key messages for year group.
Here are some samples of some of the great class work completed.
