Cargo
I enjoyed a spectacular performance of Cargo on Tuesday evening. This original piece was written and directed by Mr Jolly and enabled some of our Year 11 students to perform for us for the last time, including Freddie Fisk and Charlotte Brown. The play presented some thought provoking ideas and studied the battle between religion and technology with energy, confidence and humour. Thank you to everyone involved, especially the people of Don'gonia!

Year 10 at the V&A
On Monday 13th July the year 9 and 10 GCSE Textiles students had a trip to the V&A to see the Alexander McQueen exhibition. The exhibition is celebrating the extraordinary creative talent of one of the most innovative designers of recent times, Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty is the first and largest retrospective of McQueen's work to be presented in Europe. The 20 girls, with Miss Barker-Dodds and Mrs White, had a fabulous time at the museum and were mind blown by the beauty and eeriness of the exhibition. The girls took away lots of inspiration from the trip and were buzzing by the different pieces that caught their eyes. We look forward to seeing how this will influence their designs in their up and coming projects.Year 9 Celebration Assembly
The first of the end of year celebration assemblies took place on Wednesday. Year 9 student were recognised for their academic and sporting success, alongside certificates for achievement points and the Owen Davis Award.
